Preparation |

The preparation started off with searching for the right car. I wanted an older model, but not a project car. During the search I have also contacted the BC Corvette Club. I got great tips about important criterias for my search. After I have found a car the club members Al and Nigel came with me to have a look at it before buying. That was a great help! After I have bought the car I decided not only to drive the car but also to replace gaskets, remove rust, clean up and repaint the engine compartment and update the interior. After I decided to do that I had to get right parts, tools, ramps, jacks and quite a few more things. |

Ramps |

I thought it would be a great idea to have some ramps the car can stand on. But I did not want to spend hundreds of $$$. Therefore I used good old google again to find a solution. And, what shall I say, I have found a great tip for selfmade ramps here: Build your own ramps. I loved that idea so I went off to homedepot, bought some wood and a few days later the ramps were ready to take my Corvette. Have a look: |

As usual, when I work on something, I loose some of my blood :-)

Ramps, part II |

Now that my car had some ramps to stand on I liked the space underneath it. I did not want to give it up when taking off the wheels in putting the car onto jack stands. This time I had my own idea. Off to homedepot to buy wood, glue and screws. Out of that I created some carrying part. It looks like that: |

It worked out, I am glad!!!
