Remove Spare Tire Carrier
This must be pretty simple, I thought. And, lucky as I am, it was! Here are some pictures
I had to remove three screws:
- One that is used when using the spare tire
- Two that hold the front end of the carrier
You will not believe it but when I opened the spare tire carrier I found the
original spare tire! (I think)
The first part that I took off, the carrier
After taking off the spare tire carrier I had a good view to the more technical parts of the rear. The 9-leaf leaf spring, the differential and the half shafts
And also I had a good view to the tank which is located above the spare tire carrier. It is important to know that original Corvette gas tanks show a big A logo for O.L. Anderson |
